Who is Aubrie
I am a senior studying Marketing in the 3+1 Program at the University of Hartford Barney School of Business. I have interest in a future career as a Marketing Coordinator or a Brand Manager, I have an interest in working in the Insurance or Manufacturing Industries.
I am currently a marketing intern at Lynn Welding Co. in Newington working directly supporting the Marketing Manager. I also work as a Resident Assistant for the University of Hartford which provides me with valuable communication, organization, time management, leadership, and problem solving skills.
UHart Best Buddies
For the past three years I have been a member of Uhart Best Buddies. Best Buddies is an International organization that creates one-to-one friendships between individuals with and without Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDDs). In our club, at the college level, we partner with transitional academies in the surrounding area and pair friendships with students our age. Pairs communicate and hang out during and outside of our club events. Since last year I have been the social media chair handling social media, pictures, and all marketing materials, as well as serving on the E-board to plan events and fundraisers.

Logo Design
I started designing logos when I was younger for fun and it became something I really enjoy and have done it for friends and family. The top logo is the new logo I designed for my club, UHart Best Buddies. Last year one of my coworkers was starting a responsibly sourced, natural company with soaps, candles, essential oils etc. She commissioned me to work with her to create a logo for it, the business is called Haelen Essentials. She wanted a very free-flowing logo, with earth tones and the outline of continents to show the sourcing of the products.
